The Holderchem account representative intern shall assist Holderchem sales representatives in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, which include the following:
- Maintaining contact with established customers to increase sales volume
- Keeping Management informed of products and marketing practices
- Developing new prospects by aggressively seeking to win new projects, implementing planned sales strategies and company marketing programs, and delivering effective customer service
- Servicing assigned existing and prospective accounts in accordance with the company business and marketing policies and programs
- Analyzing customers’ needs and formulating solutions using all resources developed and made available by the company
- Cooperating and assisting fellow salespersons, sales managers, marketing personnel, customer service, manufacturing, and other company personnel in the performance of their duties
- Communicating orders and inventory levels of customers in a timely and efficient manner
- Protecting and promoting the company’s corporate and product tradenames, technical know-how, and company image
- Increasing revenues for assigned existing accounts by promoting new products and promoting product mix optimization
- Increasing the company’s market share by prospecting and striving to win new accounts in accordance with management guidelines
- Applying a daily customer call cycle covering all accounts to ensure orders are collected on time and/or product demand is being properly reported to the marketing management.
- Responsible for preparing marketing, application, and technical catalogs, and specifying products to consultants at an early stage of projects’ launch
- Providing support to existing customers including new product initiation, technical sales, and application demos, and testing
- Sustaining customer relationships and supporting newly acquired accounts
- Organizing dispenser upkeep and maintenance of equipment delivered on a consignment basis or otherwise. And Coordinating repair or replacement of non-performing equipment
- Implementing and complying with company initiatives, policies, and quality system procedures.
- Training and technical support to existing customers through mix-design troubleshooting and field Quality Assurance and Quality Program
- Promoting the Company’s Central Batching Plant Quality Assurance as directed by the Marketing Manager
- Supporting the communication of product design input, and then product initiation, technical sales, and testing for new customers
- Responsible for maintaining relationships of assigned accounts by ensuring customer satisfaction surveys are regularly conducted and ensuring complaints are properly recorded communicated and addressed
- Responsible for the proper integration of the organization’s ERP systems and reporting calls/visits of accounts on time
- Responsible for informing appropriate organizational function of competitor and market intelligence
- Conducting architectural and engineering sales calls to specify the company’s products with contractors, consultants, and government bodies
- Attending and participating in sales meetings, training programs, self-development programs, conventions, association meetings, and trade shows.
The internship will focus on selected assignments based on the above tasks performed by Holderchem Account Representatives.
You must demonstrate an ability to consistently meet customer expectations. You should possess good problem-solving skills and the ability to discuss business issues and propose appropriate solutions. Maintain up-to-date records through the ERP and the company’s computer systems and develop good presentation and communication skills.
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Sciences, Marketing, and/or Business Administration or related qualification. They should be interested in developing their sales and marketing skills, and knowledge of suppliers’ products and literature. They should demonstrate creative mindsets, and the ability to multitask and work in teams. Prior experience with construction products is preferred but not required.
Note: Working Hours will be From 7:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 to 13:00 Saturday.
