Position Overview
This document outlines the proposed terms of engagement and responsibilities for the position of Holderchem Technical Specifier and Field Supervisor. The person will be responsible in this role for providing technical guidance, supervising field operations, and supporting project integration of Holderchem solutions in civil engineering works.
1. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and track potential construction and infrastructure projects where Holderchem solutions can be applied.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to integrate Holderchem products into project specifications.
- Provide technical recommendations based on site conditions and design parameters.
- Support design offices and contractors in preparing technical submittals and compliance documentation.
- Conduct technical presentations and represent Holderchem in events, seminars, and client meetings.
- Gather market intelligence and feedback to support Holderchem’s continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Supervise execution of civil finishing works, including plastering, waterproofing, tiling, façade cladding, flooring, and painting.
- Ensure all activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Inspect materials and workmanship for conformance with project quality standards.
- Verify that surface preparation, application methods, and curing processes meet design and manufacturer requirements.
- Identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions promptly.
3. Coordination & Planning
- Coordinate daily site activities between contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Plan and schedule work sequences to meet project deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure required materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly used.
- Liaise with other disciplines (MEP, structural, architectural) to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow.
4. Technical Supervision
- Review and validate installation procedures for waterproofing systems, tiling layouts, façade assemblies, and paint systems.
- Ensure all applications follow approved technical data sheets and manufacturer recommendations.
- Supervise on-site testing (e.g., adhesion tests, water tightness tests, pull-off tests).
- Provide technical guidance to subcontractors and workers to maintain installation accuracy.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations at all times.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to materials and construction methods.
- Monitor the use of PPE and safe work practices during high-risk activities (e.g., façade access, chemical waterproofing).
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed daily site reports, including manpower, progress, materials, and site conditions.
- Prepare inspection requests (IRs) and ensure timely approval from consultants or QA/QC teams.
- Record test results, as-built information, and material traceability documents.
- Report deviations, delays, and issues to the project engineer or site manager.
7. Vendor & Material Management
- Verify that all materials delivered to the site are approved and meet technical specifications.
- Supervise mock-ups and sample approvals for finishing works.
- Coordinate with suppliers/manufacturers for on-site technical support or product demonstrations.
8. Continuous Improvement
- Recommend process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support training of site personnel on best practices and new technologies in civil finishing solutions.
- Contribute feedback to design and procurement teams to optimize material selection and detailing.
Candidate Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Experience: 0-5 years of experience in civil finishing works (waterproofing, tiling, façade works, painting, flooring) with site supervision experience.

Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Familiarity (preferred) with technical submittals, inspection requests, and QA/QC procedures.
- Competence in reviewing drawings, specifications, quantity surveyinand method statements.
- Certifications (preferred): HSE Safety Certification, Project Management Certification, or relevant technical certifications.

Note: Working Hours will be From 8:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday.
