Batimix MSP-A Series

Superplasticizers with set-acceleration for mortars and grouts

Description

BATIMIX MSP-A Series are liquid high-range water-reducing (superplasticizer) admixtures for mortars and grouts based on chemicals designed to accelerate setting. They do not contain calcium chloride or other potentially corrosive ingredients.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX MSP-A Series products reduce the free-water content and improve the workability of mortar and grout mixes. They powerfully disperse, by electrostatic repulsion and adsorption, the fine cementitious particles in the mix, thus increasing the mix workability and allowing specified strength grades to be achieved with reduced cement content.

BATIMIX MSP-A Series products are particularly recommended for use in cold climates. They decrease setting times and thus allow the acceleration of finishing operations and removal of formworks.

Features

Mortars prepared with BATIMIX MSP-A Series products are characterized by the following:

In the plastic state:

  • Higher flowability without adding extra water
  • Reduced water content up to 40% with minimum secondary effects
  • Enhanced homogeneity, cohesion, and ability to pump the mix
  • Accelerated setting, especially suitable for use in cold climates

In the hardened state:

  • Increased strengths – compressive, flexural, and bonding
  • Reduced shrinkage, creep, water permeability, and cracking
  • Enhanced durability and better surface appearance of the mortar
