Liquid additive for reduced level of hexavalent chromium in cement

Description

BATIMIX CR 4601 represents a new generation of hexavalent chromium reducing agents. It is used in the manufacture of Portland and masonry cement. This type of liquid additive is used to minimize the level of hexavalent chromium to less than 2 ppm during a minimum period of 3 months without affecting the rheological or mechanical performance of mortars and concrete.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX CR 4601 is particularly recommended for grinding of:

• Masonry and mortar cement
• Portland and blended cement
• Adapted for white or gray cement

Features

BATIMIX CR 4601 helps provide the following performances:

• Reduced level of chromium (VI) content below 2 ppm, thus making the produced cement conforming to the European directive 2003/53/CE requirements
• Cement treated with this product maintains the level of chromium (VI) below 2 ppm for a minimum period of 3 months
• Minimized risks of allergic dermatitis when peoples’ skin comes in contact with wet cement
• Does not affect the rheological or mechanical performance of cement
• Can be supplied in liquid or powder form
