Additives for reduced level of hexavalent chromium in cement

Description

BATIMIX CR 4537 is a product of the new generation of hexavalent chromium reducing agents. It is used in the manufacture of Portland and masonry types of cement. This minimizes the level of hexavalent chromium to less than 2 ppm during a minimum period of 3 months without affecting the rheological or mechanical performance of mortars and concrete.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX CR 4537 is particularly recommended for the grinding of:

  • Masonry and mortar cement
  • Portland and blended cement
  • White or gray cement

Features

BATIMIX CR 4537 helps achieve the following performances:

  • Reduced level of chromium (VI) content below 2 ppm, so that the cement produced meets the requirements of the European directive 2003/53/CE
  • Cement treated with this product maintains the level of chromium (VI) below 2 ppm for a minimum period of 3 months
  • Minimized risks of allergic dermatitis when peoples’ skin comes in contact with wet cement

BATIMIX CR 4537 may be irritant to the skin and eyes. If accidentally spilled onto the skin, wash immediately with soap and water.
