Customer Service Representative

Interns shall create value for the firm by ensuring a positive customer experience that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Interns will be required to perform the following:

  • Ensure customer needs are fulfilled on time, providing both internal and external customers with world-class service, quality, and support
  • Provide customers with technical information, sales support, as well as replies to general inquiries, to meet their needs. Exercise independent judgment to resolve problems and complaints from internal and external customers
  • Act as the link between customers, salesforce, and company personnel, providing management with the required information
  • Perform timely order entry processing functions for domestic and import and export customers; maintain customer records, and other key customer information (i.e. tax exemption files, etc.)
  • Manage all customer orders, from inception, order, delivery to invoicing, ensuring proper follow-up procedures are pursued to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Manage the credits and returns process; serve as a liaison to ensure credits are processed in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate logistics with customers, carriers, warehouses, and the plant to ensure proper flow of both inbound and outbound shipments and troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies that might arise
  • Manage all inbound selling opportunities by referring them to Field Sales Representatives
  • As directed by field sales, pro-actively contact existing customers by promoting product offerings, soliciting orders, and developing business opportunities

Qualifications

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills. Candidates must be able to successfully work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a professional, courteous, and helpful attitude
  • Manage multiple priorities and logistical requirements
  • Possess exceptional organizational, problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Adapt and learn multiple skills. Under general supervision, interpret and implement Service Center policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to acquire knowledge quickly. Candidates should be proficient in Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer. Computerized order processing knowledge is preferred

Note: Working Hours will be From 7:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday, and from 7:00 to 13:00 Saturday.
