The Product Manager Intern shall contribute to the strategy, roadmap, and thorough understanding of the Concrete Repair and Protection, Floor Coating & Waterproofing market throughout a defined geographic territory. The interns shall contribute to defining, innovating, and supporting the product development so as to help bring Holderchem’s diverse product range to the target market groups.
Managerial / Supervisory Role
Develop technical and field expertise to enhance/ drive the performance of the sales and marketing team through product launches, sales strategies, tracking/monitoring, etc.
Functional Role:
Interns shall assist in the following tasks:
- Gathering and analysis of market product-related data, competitor, and business information, which are required for new possible market development segments.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of industry trends product and technical development that affect target markets.
- Ensuring product strategy and planning activities are supported with a solid market and competitive analysis data.
- Overseeing available product range and defining product rationalization proposals.
- Determining product pricing by utilizing market research data and developing a pricing strategy for selected product ranges.
- Updating and maintaining a price list in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Proactively identifying and resolving strategic issues that could impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals qualifications. Providing recommendations and establish solutions to Technical and Sales on customer complaints and feedback.
- Gaining a deep understanding of customer experience, identifying and filling product gaps, generating new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth.
- Evaluating promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy.
- Driving new product and system launches, including working with Marketing, Sales, and other team members on the planning of sales promotion activities.
- Contribute to the advancement and development of training concepts for selected target groups.
- Providing support to colleagues and relevant contacts to achieve sales goals.
- Developing and maintaining a network with customers, relevant market stakeholders, and contacts within the construction industry.
- Representing the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on Holderchem products.
Academic Qualification:
Interns should have the following qualifications/skills:
- Degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Marketing and Business Administration; MBA candidates preferred
- Knowledge of strategic marketing, local construction regulations, requirements, and business practices.
- Knowledge of Product application development
- Microsoft Office suite
- Problem-solving skills
- Communications skills
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Sciences, Marketing, and Business Administration or related qualification. They should be interested in developing their product management skills, and knowledge of suppliers’ products and literature. They should demonstrate creative mindsets, and the ability to multitask and work in teams. Prior experience with construction products is preferred but not required.
Note: Working Hours will be From 7:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday.
