Concentrated water reducer with set-acceleration for concrete


BATIMIX WR 200-A is a liquid water-reducing admixture for concrete based on high-grade lignosulphonate materials blended with selected chemicals to accelerate setting. BATIMIX WR 200-A does not contain calcium chloride or other potentially corrosive ingredients

Main Purpose

BATIMIX WR-A Series products improve the workability of concrete and effectively reduce free water content. They are particularly suitable for use in cold climates. They shorten concrete setting times, accelerating finishing operations, and the removal of formworks.

They disperse the fine cementitious particles in concrete mixes by electrostatic repulsion and adsorption. As a result of this de-flocculation, higher than normal concrete strength grades are achieved with reduced cement contents and increased workability.

Applications include all types of plain and reinforced concrete castings such as self-consolidating, precast, ready-mixed, lightweight, pumped concrete, and shotcrete.


Concrete prepared with BATIMIX WR 200-A is characterized by the following:

In the plastic state:

  • Improved workability without adding extra water
  • Reduced water content up to 10%, with minimum secondary effects
  • Reduced segregation, particularly in lean mixes with a higher slump
  • Accelerated setting, especially suitable when used in cold climates

In the hardened state:

  • Increased strengths – compressive, flexural, and bonding
  • Reduced water permeability and cracking
  • Improved concrete durability and surface appearance
