Superplasticizers for concrete with set-acceleration


BATIMIX HWR-A Series products are liquid high-range water-reducing admixtures for concrete blended with set accelerating calcium chloride-free chemicals. They do not contain any potentially corrosive ingredients.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX HWR A-Series products are designed to significantly improve the workability of concrete and effectively reduce free-water content.

By adding these powerful dispersants to the mix, higher than normal concrete strength grades are achieved with reduced cement contents and increased workability. Applications include all types of plain and reinforced concrete castings, such as self-consolidating, precast, ready-mixed, lightweight, pumped concrete, and shotcrete.


Concrete prepared with BATIMIX HWR A-Series is characterized by the following:

In the plastic state:

  • Better flowability achieved without extra water
  • Reduced water-content of up to 40%, with minimum secondary effects
  • Enhanced homogeneity, cohesion, and ability to pump the concrete mix
  • The accelerated setting, which is particularly suitable in cold climates

In the hardened state:

  • Increased compressive, flexural, and bonding strengths
  • Reduced shrinkage, creep, water-permeability, and cracking
  • Enhanced durability and better surface appearance of the concrete
