Batimix WR Series

Description

BATIMIX WR Series products are high-performance liquid water-reducing admixtures for concrete. They are based on high-grade lignosulphonates.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX WR Series products are plasticizers designed to improve the workability of concrete and effectively reduce free water content. They disperse the fine cementitious particles in concrete mixes by electrostatic repulsion and adsorption. As a result of this de-flocculation, higher than normal concrete strength grades are achieved with reduced cement contents and increased workability.

Applications include all types of plain and reinforced concrete castings such as self-consolidating, precast, ready-mixed, lightweight, pumped concrete, and shotcrete.

Concrete prepared with BATIMIX WR Series is characterized by the following:

In the plastic state:

• Improved workability without adding extra water
• Reduced water content up to 20% with minimum secondary effects
• Increased homogeneity with minimum segregation and bleeding
• Normal setting characteristics under cool conditions

In the hardened state:

• Increased strengths – compressive, flexural, and bonding
• Reduced shrinkage, creep, and water permeability
• Enhanced concrete durability and surface appearance

Health and Safety

BATIMIX WR Series are not hazardous materials. However, they should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.
