Liquid release agent for stamped concrete
BATIMIX Release L-660 is a liquid release agent used in Stamped Overlay applications, and anywhere powdered release agents are impractical to use. This release agent conditions the stamping tool to prevent the concrete from sticking to it and allows for the best possible imprint without pulling up the surface.
BATIMIX Release L-660 is used as a stamp tool release and secondary color accent on plain concrete or colored concrete.
BATIMIX Release L-660 is characterized by the following:
BATIMIX Release L-660 is not a hazardous material. It should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.
Preparation:
All surrounding areas should be protected from contamination. Poly sheeting is recommended for masking.
Broadcasting procedure:
BATIMIX Release L-660 should be sprayed lightly on the under-side of the stamping tool. Before stamping, the concrete should be allowed to cure to a spongy but firm surface that is not hard. Once the concrete is stamped, remove the stamping tool immediately but carefully and allow the concrete surface to dry. Reapply Liquid Release as needed throughout stamping process.
Finishing:
Because liquid release leaves no color, it may be required the use of a secondary color to the stamped surface. Consult technical data sheets for application procedures and safety precautions.
BATIMIX Release L-660 is compatible with all types of cementitious-based concrete made using Portland cement or replacement materials such as silica fume, fly ash, or blast furnace slag.
