One-coat architectural rendering mortar
BATIMIX Monocouche 300 is a pre-packaged cementitious-based mortar. It is used for decorative façade coatings. It is made of binders, fillers, and carefully graded natural and crushed sand, blended with selected additives such as plasticizing, air-entraining, rebound-reducing, water-repelling, and shrinkage-compensating agents.
BATIMIX Monocouche 300 is a ready-to-use coating for the protection and decoration of external and internal façades. It is available in gray, white, and a variety of other natural colors. It gives the appearance of stone, brick, or textured renderings.
BATIMIX Monocouche 300 is designed in such a manner as to improve the workability and bonding characteristics during the application process. It adheres very well to existing plasters, formed or rendered concrete, and to prefabricated panels. The appearance, durability, and surface quality of the finished product are greatly enhanced. BATIMIX Monocouche 300 exhibits a reduced degree of water absorption, carbonation, and efflorescence
BATIMIX Monocouche 300 contains cement that is irritating to the eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable gloves. For further information, kindly refer to Material Safety Data Sheet.
Substrate preparation: The surface of the substrate must be sound and thoroughly cleaned from oil, wax, or dust. All loose particles, old wall paper, rust, and paint should be physically removed. In case of smooth substrates, a spatter-dash slurry coat such as the BATIMIX Key Coat 240 or 250 may be necessary prior to application of BATIMIX Monocouche 300 to increase friction.
Product preparation: A 50-kg bag of BATIMIX Monocouche 300 is mixed manually or mechanically with 7 to 8.5 liters of clean water until a homogenous paste is obtained. If stiffened, it is not recommended to re-temper the mortar by adding additional amount of water.
Application: BATIMIX Monocouche 300 can be applied either manually with a plastering stainless trowel or with a mechanical projection machine in layers not exceeding 20 mm. In case subsequent layers are needed, the coating should be applied at least 24 hours after the first application. The finished surface of the applied plaster can have either a sanded, rolled, or ribbed texture. For detailed application instructions, kindly refer to the product’s “Application Guidelines”.
Protection and curing: When finishing, BATIMIX Monocouche 300 should be protected from extreme temperatures, wind, and sunshine by moist curing for a minimum of 3 days. Curing compounds can be purchased separately from Holderchem.
BATIMIX Monocouche 300 is manufactured to conform to EN 998-1 Grade OC for Mortar for Masonry (One Coat Rendering Mortar for External Use).
