DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Mixing of paint: Stir thoroughly before and during use to ensure homogenous and uniform solution.

Thinning: If necessary, to obtain desired application properties, you may add up to 15% clean water to BATIMIX ILS-150 Matt. Stir thoroughly to mix the added water with the paint.

Surface preparation: Surfaces to be painted must be clean and free from dirt, dust, wax, soap, oil, grease, and water-soluble materials. Water dispersed detergents (such as tri-sodium phosphate) and abrasive cleaners are more suitable than solvent-based solutions for surface cleaning. Rinse well to remove residues. Remove any peeling or scaling paint. Apply primer before and after filling nail holes, cracks, and other surface imperfections.

Unpainted surfaces: As mentioned above, the surface must be clean and thoroughly brushed with stiff fiber bristles to remove loose particles.

Repainted surfaces: Remove any peeling or scaling paint, and sand these areas to featheredge smooth with adjacent surfaces.

Primer: For maximum adhesion strength, you may use BATIMIX primers before applying the paint.

Application: BATIMIX ILS-150 Matt can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray. When using an airless spray, thinning may be required depending on the equipment used and the application conditions. Do not apply when air and/or surface temperature are below 10 °C. Apply one or two coats, if needed. The average spreading rate per coat is around 10 m2/liter, depending on the method of application, degree of substrate porosity and absorption level, etc.

Precautions: Wash with care to avoid scuffing and burnishing. Refrain from washing walls before paint is fully cured.

Storage

BATIMIX ILS-150 Matt has a minimum shelf life of 12 months if kept unopened. It must be stored at temperatures ranging from 5 to 40 °C. It should not be subjected to direct sunlight.
