Batimix HWR S-Series

Description

BATIMIX HWR S-Series products are liquid high-range water-reducing admixtures for concrete blended with selected chemicals designed to improve concrete slump retention over time.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX HWR S-Series products significantly improve the workability of concrete, albeit also effectively reducing their free-water content. They are particularly suitable for hot weather concreting, to delay the setting of concrete mixes and allow for sufficient time for delivery, placement, and finishing operations.

These powerful dispersants allow for reduced cement content in concrete mixes, enhanced workability features, and higher concrete strength grades.

Applications include all types of concrete castings such as plain, self-consolidating, reinforced, precast, ready-mixed, lightweight, pumped concrete, and shotcrete.

Concrete prepared with BATIMIX HWR S-Series is characterized by the following:

In the plastic state:

• Improved workability without adding extra water
• Reduced water content up to 40% with minimum secondary effects
• Extended working times of concrete, even in hot weather climates
• Controlled setting, preventing the formation of cold joints in large pours

In the hardened state:

• Increased strengths – compressive, flexural, and bonding
• Reduced shrinkage, creep, and water permeability
• Enhanced durability and better surface appearance of the concrete

Health and Safety

BATIMIX HWR S-Series are not hazardous materials. However, they should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.
