Batimix GA-RM 1400

Description

Batimix GA-RM 1400 product is a carefully designed aqueous solution used as a pack set inhibitor and grinding aid during the manufacture and grinding of Portland and other hydrolic cements and mineral components. It is particularly developed to enhance flow characteristics, to reduce pack set, and to optimize energy demand.

Batimix GA-RM 1400 greatly improves the efficiency of the grinding process by reducing the surface energy forces which cause agglomeration of the newly fractured particles.

Batimix GA-RM 1400 products are particularly recommended for the grinding of:

• Portland cements
• Blended cements
• White cements
• Mineral components such as limestone, gypsum, slag, and other pozzolanic materials

Health and Safety

Storage

Batimix GA-RM 1400 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months if kept unopened and stored at ambient temperatures ranging from -10 to +50 ºC.

Standard Compliance

Batimix GA-RM 1400 meets the requirements of ASTM C 465: Standard specification for processing additions for use in the manufacture of hydraulic cements.

Direction for Use

Batimix GA-RM 1400 is normally proportioned as received. Depending on the mill and operating conditions, it is recommended that industrial tests be conducted on site to determine the optimal dosage rate. In some cases, the product may be diluted with 10% to 50% water to facilitate greater proportioning accuracy and better additive distribution. Suitable dosage pumps with adjustable flow rates are recommended for accurate dosing. Kindly consult your Holderchem representative to determine the appropriate dilution rate.

Dosage Rates

Batimix GA-RM 1400 is used at recommended dosage rates, by weight of cement. Specific dosage depends on exact clinker composition and temperature, percent of clinker factor, and desired results and job conditions. For indication purposes, you may refer to the table below:
