Batimix Form Release 741

Description

BATIMIX Form Release 741 is a non-viscous proprietary blend of organic materials used to promote clean and achieve easy separation of concrete from all types of formworks while deterring build-up and sticking.

Main Purpose

Upon application on form surfaces, BATIMIX Form Release 741 creates a metallic soap that reduces bonding while promoting quick and clean stripping. This product leaves concrete surfaces unstained and ready for painting, plastering, or any other treatment. It optimizes performance and improves the surface quality of precast concrete, concrete forming, prestressed, and architectural concrete.

Health and Safety

BATIMIX Form Release 741 is not a hazardous material. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.

Coverage / Dosage Rates

Forms should be cleaned of all old concrete and substances before applying BATIMIX Form Release 741. The product should be well mixed prior to application. No dilutions are recommended, unless seen appropriate with no side effects on the product’s performance. One kilogram of this product will cover approximately 10 to 40 m² of forms, depending on the application method and type of the form’s material.

Effect of Overdosing

Over applications with BATIMIX Form Release 741 should be avoided to prevent runs or puddles which will create voids in the finished concrete surface. It is to be noted that this may also affect concrete surface properties by decreasing its abrasion resistance right after demoulding.

Compatibility

BATIMIX Form Release 741 is compatible with all types of Portland cement, whether white or grey, as well as with any replacement materials such as silica fume, fly ash, and blast furnace slag.

Application / Dispensing

All forms should be dry and free from concrete build-up before BATIMIX Form Release 741 is applied. Applications may be done using conventional or airless equipment, rollers, mops, wipe-on, or any other conventional method of applying form release agents.

Storage

BATIMIX Form Release 741 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months if kept unopened and stored at temperatures ranging from 2 to 50 ºC.
