Batimix Epoxy Roll-On 310

Holderchem

Solvent-free, low viscosity epoxy coating for floor and wall applications

Description

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 is a solvent-free low viscosity epoxy coating used to seal industrial concrete systems. It is absorbed into the substrate sealing-off surface defects, which may cause bubbling on the final surface finish.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 is a clear two-pack epoxy coating of low-viscosity. It is used in industrial applications, concrete floors, and metal supports to provide an excellent wear-and-acid-resistance protective coating. It is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications. This product is also used as a dust-binder for concrete decks.

Features

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 yields, when applied to a correctly primed substrate, bond strengths in excess of concrete, with failure occurring within the concrete rather than the epoxy system on test. It adheres very well to concrete, metal, wood, and most flooring compositions.

Properties

  • Mixing ratio (Resin / Hardener): 3 / 1
  • Viscosity at 20 °C (mixed): 5.5 poise
  • Pot life at 20 °C: 30-40 min
  • Hard dry at 20 °C: 15-20 hr
  • Hard dry at 10 °C: 18-28 hr
  • Full cure at 20 °C: 5-7 days
  • Compressive strength (N/mm²): 55 - 65
  • Flexural strength (N/mm²): 18 - 26
  • Tensile strength (N/mm²): 14 - 20
  • Bonding on concrete (N/mm²): > 3
  • Bonding on steel (N/mm²): > 1 to 2

Health and Safety

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 is not a hazardous material. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.

Application & Dosage Rates

Pour the full contents of the hardener container into the full contents of the resin container and mix thoroughly with a slow speed electric stirrer for a minimum of 2 minutes.

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 must be applied on sound and thoroughly cleaned substrates free of oil, dust, loose particles, and paints. The traces of mould joints must be levelled. All surfaces should be free from water prior to application. Admissible substrates include concrete, metal, wood, and most flooring compositions.

Apply by brush or roller, working the resin well into the surface. On porous surfaces apply further resin until the surface is completely wetted out. Push out the resin as thinly as possible, just leaving enough resin on the surface to give a wet appearance. Obtaining an antiskid surface is possible by broadcasting in the first layer dry Quartz sand.

The temperature during application should be between 5 and 35 °C, and the maximum moisture content (relative humidity) should not exceed of 75%.

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 is generally applied at a rate of around 5 m²/L (for a thickness of 200 microns), depending on porosity of substrate. For the second layer, the rate can be around 8 m²/L. The product should be allowed to cure hard for minimum of 24 hours.

Compatibility

BATIMIX Epoxy Roll-On 310 is compatible with an extensive range of epoxy resin and polyurethane resin flooring systems.
