Direction for Uses

Mixing of paint: Stir thoroughly before and during use. Apply one or two coats, if needed.

Thinning: If necessary, to obtain desired application properties, you may add limited amounts of clean water to BATIMIX EMS-1450 Roll. Stir thoroughly to mix the added water with the paint.

Surface preparation: Surfaces to be painted must be clean and free from dirt, dust, wax, soap, oil, grease, and water-soluble materials. Water dispersed detergents (such as tri-sodium phosphate) and abrasive cleaners are more suitable than solvent-based solutions for surface cleaning. Rinse well to remove residues. Remove any peeling or scaling paint. Apply primer before and after filling nail holes, cracks, and other surface imperfections.

Unpainted surfaces: As mentioned above, the surface must be clean and thoroughly brushed with stiff fiber bristles to remove loose particles.

Repainted surfaces: Remove any peeling or scaling paint, and sand these areas to featheredges smooth with adjacent surfaces.

Primer: For maximum adhesion strength, you may use BATIMIX primers before applying the paint.

Application: BATIMIX EMS-1450 Roll can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray. When using an airless spray, thinning may be required depending on the equipment used and the application conditions. Do not apply when air and/or surface temperatures are below 16 °C. The average coverage rates are around 7.5 to 9 m2/liter, depending on the method of application, degree of substrate porosity and absorption level, etc.

Precautions: Wash with care to avoid scuffing and burnishing. Refrain from washing walls before paint is fully cured.

Warning: If you scrape sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust, which is known for its high toxicity. Exposure to lead can cause serious illnesses and brain damage, especially to children and pregnant women.

Storage

BATIMIX EMS-1450 Roll has a minimum shelf life of 12 months if kept unopened. It must be stored at temperatures ranging from 5 to 40 °C. It should not be subjected to direct sunlight.
