Liquid additive for reduced level of hexavalent chromium in cement
BATIMIX CR 4601 represents a new generation of hexavalent chromium reducing agents. It is used in the manufacture of Portland and masonry cement. This type of liquid additive is used to minimize the level of hexavalent chromium to less than 2 ppm during a minimum period of 3 months without affecting the rheological or mechanical performance of mortars and concrete.
BATIMIX CR 4601 is particularly recommended for grinding of:
BATIMIX CR 4601 helps provide the following performances:
BATIMIX CR 4601 may be irritant to the skin and eyes. If accidentally spilled onto the skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If accidentally splashed into the eyes, flush with plenty of water and consult a physician. For additional information, kindly refer to the corresponding MSDS.

BATIMIX CR 4601 is normally proportioned as received. Depending on the mill and operating conditions, it is recommended that industrial tests be conducted on site to determine the optimal dosage rate. In some cases, the product may be diluted with 10% to 50% water to facilitate greater proportioning accuracy and better additive distribution. Kindly consult your HOLDERCHEM representative to determine the appropriate dilution rate.
BATIMIX CR 4601 is introduced into the first or second compartment of the grinding mill to maximize dispersion and product efficiency. It can also be sprinkled onto the dry clinker on the feeding conveyor belt. Suitable dosage pumps with adjustable flow rates are recommended for accurate dosing.
Generally, no anti-freeze precautions are needed in bulk installations. Tanks and conveying lines may be insulated and heated to prevent excessive increase in viscosity and to maintain adequate pumpability.
