BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 730-SM is a solvent-based, bitumen SBS rubber, single component, elastomeric waterproofing liquid membrane. After the evaporation of solvents incorporated in it, it adheres firmly on the substrate and forms an elastic waterproof layer.

Health and Safety

Directions for Use

Preparation of Substrate:

Application surface must be dry, clean and clean off materials which prevent bonding, such as dust, oil, rust and loose pieces. Pores and cracks should be filled with BATIMIX Mortar 622 or BATIMIX Mortar 605 repair mortar.

Application Method:

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 730-SM is applied only onto the side exposed to water (positive insulation). It is ready to use, it does not need heating or thinning. It can be applied by brush, roller, rake or airless spray with at least two layers. Primers should be applied on the surface to provide excellent adhesion, avoid dust and improve durability.

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP is recommended for use on metallic surfaces as primer. Although BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 730-SM is a fast drying type solution (2 hours approximately), it is recommended to wait 24 hours before applying a second coat.

Reinforcing materials such as polyester felt, geotextile, fibermesh and reinforcing fabric can be used to provide better durability against higher pressure.

Consumption:

Approximately 0.6 kg/m² for each layer, with the application of 2 coats recommended.

Storage

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 730-SM is delivered in 17 kg metal pails, or 200 kg drums. Its shelf life is 12 months from production date, if well stored. Store in closed dry area between +5°C and +35°C. Protect from heat, freezing and direct sunlight.
