Batimix Bituminous Coating 710-SP

Description

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP is a ready-to-use rubber content waterproofing bituminous solution without any filler. After evaporation of the solvents incorporated in it, it adheres firmly to the surface it is applied to, forming an elastic waterproof layer.

Main Purpose

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP is applied against ground humidity and leakages in building bases, terrace roofs, balconies, water channels, secret gutters, retaining and curtain-walls, and pool insulation from outside. It is also used to protect metal surfaces from corrosion by dipping, brushing, or spraying application. It is applied as a primer before the application of all brands of bitumen membranes on metal surfaces. This ready-to-use product, which is cold applied and dries quickly, provides upon application a seamless insulation layer with superior adhesion to bituminous and all types of surfaces. It is sulfate resistant.

Health and Safety

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP is not a hazardous material. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.

Direction for Use

Preparation of Substrate:

Application surface must be dry and clean. Remove materials which may prevent bonding, such as dust, oil, rust and loose pieces. Pores and cracks should be filled with BATIMIX Mortar 622 or BATIMIX Mortar 605.

Application Method:

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP is applied only onto the side exposed to water (positive insulation). It is ready-to-use. it does not need heating or thinning. It can be applied by brush, roller or spray gun.

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP is a fast (2 hours approximately) drying type solution. it is recommended to wait 24 hours before applying a second coat. Reinforcing materials such as polyester felt, fiber-mesh, reinforcing fabric can be used to provide better durability against higher pressure.

Consumption:

Approximately 0.5 kg/m² is required for each layer.

Storage

BATIMIX Bituminous Coating 710-SP shelf life is 12 months from production date, if well stored. Store in a dry area at temperatures ranging from +5°C to +35°C. Protect from heat, freezing and direct sunlight.
