Powder dry mix shotcrete accelerating admixture.
BATIMIX Acc DG1-P is a powder admixture designed to accelerate dry mix shotcrete setting times. It does not contain calcium chloride or added chloride ions that could potentially attack steel, aluminum, or zinc embedments.
BATIMIX Acc DG1-P is used for shotcrete applications to build thick sections, whether vertical or overhead, with a minimum rebound. It allows rapid concrete setting to take place, a feature particularly desired in cold temperatures and unfavorable weather conditions.
Applications using BATIMIX Acc DG1-P include all types of shotcrete and sprayed concrete with or without steel embedments.
Concrete prepared with BATIMIX Acc DG1-P is characterized by the following:
In the plastic state:
In the hardened state:
BATIMIX Acc DG1-P is not a hazardous material. However, it should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. For additional information, kindly refer to the product’s Material Safety Data Sheet.
BATIMIX Acc DG1-P complies with ASTM C 1141 requirements for Type I (dry mix shotcrete), Grade 1 (conventional accelerator), Class B (non-liquid).
The optimum dosage of BATIMIX Acc DG1-P to meet specific requirements is best determined by trials using the actual mix composition with site materials under conditions that will be experienced in use.
As a guide to the trial tests, the addition rates shall vary from 1% to 4% of the cementitious materials. Dosages outside the specified range may be used if necessary to meet particular mix requirements.
In general, an overdose of BATIMIX Acc DG1-P will produce a highly cohesive material with significant loss in workability and increased early strength as compared to that normally obtained. The rapid initial acceleration of the cement hydration process due to overdosing will generally lead to slightly reduced 28-day compressive strength.
BATIMIX Acc DG1-P is compatible with all other Batimix admixtures incorporated in the same concrete. During batching, all admixtures should be added separately to the concrete mix as this may alter their performances. Concrete mixtures based on Portland cement with or without replacement materials such as silica fume, fly ash, and blast furnace slag are compatible with BATIMIX Acc DG1-P.
For “dry process” shotcrete applications, BATIMIX Acc DG1-P is directly added after the air ring in the spray nozzle. For consistent and accurate supply of the admixture during spraying, the pressure of the delivery system should be adjusted taking into consideration several factors such as type of equipment, diameter hose, and distance to application area.

BATIMIX Acc DG1-P has a minimum shelf life of 12 months if kept unopened and stored at temperatures ranging from 2 to 50 ºC.
