Main Purpose

BATIMIX PU IN 240 is versatile and therefore suitable for various fields of use, such as:

  • to stop water leakages from cavities and cracks of concrete walls and floors of tunnels, bridges, sheet piles
  • to insulate cold joints
  • on water tanks and swimming pools
  • to insulate interior basements

Features

Health and Safety

BATIMIX PU IN 240 should not be swallowed or allowed to come into contact with skin and eyes as it causes irritation. Suitable gloves and goggles should be worn. Upon eye or skin coming in contact with it, get immediate medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or poison control center. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Wear protective clothing, gloves, eye and face protection.

Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Dispose of unused, contents, containers, and other contaminated wastes in accordance with prevailing regulations.

Directions for Use

Preparation of Substrate Prior to the injection, the cracks to be worked on are sealed using repairing mortars. Along the course of the cracks, holes are drilled at a distance of 10 to 15 cm to each other on alternating sides of the crack. Packers are inserted into the injection holes and (if possible) injected proceeding from the bottom to the top. The diameter of the holes depends on the packers used.

Application Method Component A and B are stirred separately under low speed mixer. Then Component B is added slowly into the Component A under low speed mixer and mixed together approximately 3-4 minutes till a homogenous mixture is obtained. BATIMIX PU IN 240 is injected using a mechanical pump under low pressure. When low viscosity liquid mixture is applied, it expands rapidly and it becomes a solid foam within approximately 45 seconds.

Storage

BATIMIX PU IN 240 should be stored in a dry area between +15°C and +25°C. It may be harmful if in contact with the skin. Upon application, the material should be protected from direct sunlight, rain, freezing temperatures, foot traffic, and continuous high humidity until dry. Do not apply this product if the air and surface temperatures are below +10°C and above +30°C.

Clean tools and equipment with industrial-type solvents immediately after use. Dried material can only be removed mechanically
